La Maison Des Coeurs is situated in the heart of the Dordogne region of France, amidst the graceful French countryside just 30 minutes from the bustling city of Perigueux.
This 6-sleeper Gîte is within easy reach of dozens of tourist attractions and sightseeing activities to keep the entire party entertained. Explore local chateaus, medieval towns, prehistoric caves and several facilities offering kayaking, cycling, hiking, horse-riding, shopping and so much more!
Whether you're an early bird or night owl, enjoy this spectacular property from sunrise to sunset; brunching on the terrace, socializing by the fire-pit and cocktails in the pool-side cabana.
Beyond the property, there are also a great many adjoining walking and cycling trails to take advantage of.

A charming, large courtyard with accompanying fire pit for evening entertainment and socializing - sit and enjoy a glass of wine around the fire while toasting marshmallows and admiring the galaxies above.

The gîte rental will come with sole use of the pool area. Have access to the outdoor pool and cabana which overlooks the picturesque French countryside - feel free to take a dip at anytime of day.
ABOUT US
We are Alec and Bev and our story began in 2018 when we decided to fulfill a lifelong dream to move to warmer and sunnier climes. We had recently retired and wanted to stop the 9-5 grind. We love the outdoors and big open skies, and so wanted somewhere rural. Our love of French cuisine, warm weather and of course fine wine led us to SW France, but we did not know exactly where we would end up.
After a year long search for the right place, we found our forever home in the Perigord Noir, famous for its black truffles and prehistoric Lascaux Caves. It ticked all our boxes but needed quite a bit of renovation to make it perfect for us – a tranquil and rustic place which could be both our home and our business. Covid-19 delayed our opening, but we used this time to carry out much needed renovations, like adding an outdoor kitchen/cabana, extending the pool area and adding a communal courtyard with a fire pit. Much more is to come and the work continues. Our ultimate goal was to share our little piece of paradise with our family, friends and guests so we look forward to welcoming you to Maison Des Coeurs.
